We just downsized and moved back into
one of our rental properties in October.
The house is old and a bit cold in Winter (even after new windows!)
The land is GORGEOUS!
It has a two acre front yard, and virtually NO backyard...so we added a HUGE deck!
We knocked out the wall between the kitchen and family room and made one HUGE, sunny room.
We replaced the front staircase, landscaped, all new windows, added architectural elements to portico, and new shutters.
Refinished the wooden floors in the living room, and added antique brass lights above the mantel (purchased on eBay)!
When we get more money, we'll blow in insulation into all the walls (the house is NOT well insulated).
